I’ve always been sceptical that out of roughly 30 people living in Downton Abbey (or gravitating around, like Isobel or Violet), “only” 5 persons got the Spanish flu… (Carson, Cora, Lavinia, + 2 random maids) and “only” 1 died - so very conveniently for plot’s sake.
